Laura Mercier at Holt Renfrew

These are some of the things that I got at the Laura Mercier Counter at Holt Renfrew. First off I have to say..... I bought the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder a month ago and was not completely happy because the powder was not the correct tone for me. It gave my skin a real yellow tone and it did not look good. Although I was happy with the product and how it preformed, the colour was just a little off and so I was trying to find ways to make it work. I was tested for my correct shade, but I believe that the lady put the incorrect shade in my bag.

 

I was sent a questionnaire from the store (Holt Renfrew) to fill out online a few days after my purchase and I did not fill it out because I (to put it bluntly) was unhappy!!

 

They sent the questionnaire to me again the second time and this time I thought ooohhhh well, I will fill it out anyway and answer all their questions that they asked. So I did!

 

 

 

 

 

My experience shopping there was great... I really love the store and its my most favorite store to shop in. So all these questions were fine. Then they asked me about the product and I told them how I felt about it. The same day I got another email stating that they were sorry that the product was not the correct one and that did not match my skin tone. I could bring it in for an exchange and also that they would pay for my parking if I had to park.

 

Then I got a phone call from Danielle, the Laura Mercier Manager at Holt Renfrew. She was such a sweet lady. She asked me to come in and she would exchange my product for a new one in the correct shade and that she also had a free gift for me for all the troubles... This was the kindest thing that I had ever happen to me.

 

These are the products that I got from the Laura Mercier counter:

 

 

 

Laura Mercier Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15

 

This is such a finely milled powder that is made from completely natural elements with 15 active amino acids to promote radiant skin, diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles, which is so true of this formula. The powder is MAGIC!! As soon as it is applied to the skin with a nice brush.. it melts right into the skin. You would think that you were using a liquid by the results that you get.. and maybe even better. It does not give a powdery look to the skin nor does it settle into fine lines and wrinkles either. It is a beautiful Mineral Foundation. The hype is right.. ha ha... it's amazing for a Mineral Powder Foundation. My correct shade is REAL SAND.

 

 



Laura Mercier Lip Glacè

 

This is a very high-shine lip gloss that is perfectly pigmented with rich long-lasting colour and brilliant shine that creates the appearance of fuller, plumper lips. It's super smooth and feels very nice on the lips but has a bit of tackiness, which adds to the staying power of the gloss. This gloss lasted a good 5 hours on me without touch ups... not to mention the scent is super beautiful. It has a light vanilla scent that is very pleasant.

 

 

 

 

 

The shade that I picked up was Bare Blush. It's a little opaque with lots and lots of shine... super love this gloss!

 

 

 

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact SPF 20

 

This was the free gift that Danielle gave me at the Laura Mercier Counter for all the problems. I was very grateful and very thankful for such a gesture as this. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered.

 

This product is amazing. I have never seen or used anything like this before. It's a Tinted Moisturizer that is put into this convenient compact. How nice is that!!! The product is very, very lightweight on the skin that gives you a dewy, natural-looking flawless finish. It is very light coverage and has an SPF 20... that's always nice. It's great to carry with you in your bag for quick touch ups throughout the day or when you are on the go. It feels beautiful on the skin.

 

The compact comes with a small sponge applicator under the Tinted Moisturizer pan. I did try out the sponge first by wetting the sponge and adding the Tinted Moisturizer... but this style did not work best for me so I tried my foundation brush. I wet the brush with a little Fix+ then I applied the Tinted Moisturizer to my skin this way.... it truly was a dream to apply... soft, smooth, and dewy. It is beautiful, truly beautiful on the skin. Now.. if you like a light, weightless foundation with light coverage this is the product for you. It's amazing. But for a little more coverage.. not much more.. just a little, I added the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder on top of this... and *ding* perfection!!! I LOVED this combination of Tinted Moisturizer and Mineral Foundation together. It gave me nice coverage and a flawless appearance that lasted alllllllll day!

The shade of my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in compact is NUDE.
